Jonathan Esquivel

Clinical Psychologist

About Me

I graduated from the University of Buenos Aires and currently have over five years of clinical experience. I work from a psychoanalytic perspective, with focus on gender and diversity. I have experience in the field of sexual and reproductive health. I am also a professor and researcher at the university on the topics of trauma, trauma related to sexual violence and trauma related to identity issues.

Treatment Approach

The foundation of my practice is psychoanalysis, yet I am open to incorporating elements from various disciplines. Sessions in my practice are highly conversational. I may guide or question the way you talk about yourself, your feelings, and how you articulate your thoughts. Together, we will identify patterns or subjective positions and reorganize them, enabling you to work towards becoming a more authentic and happy version of yourself.
